Karyn Ellis, M.A., M.H.C.-A.
I believe healing happens when individuals are able to freely grow through self awareness and the creation of healthy boundaries and coping skills. Change and growth are possible when individuals have a supportive environment to help process life’s journey and challenges. I am honored by the therapeutic role in the life of an individual or family.
I have experience working with those who have severe mental illness, families and youth in crisis or transitional periods, as well as at risk youth, issues of abuse and trauma, and behavioral issues.

There are many stressors in life: depression, anxiety, sleep problems, boundaries, overwhelming situations. Maybe you don’t know who you are or what you want any more. Counseling is a confidential and safe space to explore your problems and feelings. My goal is to help you find yourself, find peace, balance and resolution.
Children & Teens

Growing up is not easy. There are numerous social pressures, predators, and harmful factors in the environment. Preteens and teens struggling with depression, trauma, stress, anger, behavioral issues, issues of sexuality, trauma and cultural adjustment can benefit from counseling.

Families may need to seek Family Therapy when there is a crisis or tension between spouses that is affecting the whole family. Items that can lead to an unstable family include problems in the family development stages, boundary issues, divorce, death, illness of a family member and parent child conflict.
